On Thursday, 22 February 2018, the agorateka project manager René Havermans was kindly invited by the Hellenic Copyright Organization to present the agorateka portal at the ‘Conference on Copyright Infringements on the Internet: Developments in Greece & the European Union’. At the same time he took the opportunity to present the Observatory’s latest research in the area of copyright.
This one-day meeting was co-organised with Google, in a joint effort to address copyright infringements on the internet and how social media plays a role in this. Rights holders and stakeholders explained their point of view on this interesting topic.
Greece is expected to join agorateka and use its toolkit that was developed by the EUIPO.
The agorateka team wishes to thank the Hellenic Copyright Organization for their wonderful reception and is looking forward to working closely with them.
