"Sweden joins agorateka with the brand new national portal ‘Streamalagligt.se’ "



On April 9 2018, Sweden has joined agorateka through Streamalagligt.se (‘stream legally’). The Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV) has worked hard to create a brand new national aggregator. The EUIPO’s toolkit was used as a base, but the design is definitely Swedish.

Streamalagligt.se is already linked to 61 Swedish legal offer sites, among which:

  • 26 offer film & TV
  • 15 offer video games
  • 11 offer e-books
  • 9 offer music and
  • 7 offer sport events.

To raise awareness, the PRV will run an advertisement on national television and in cinemas for three weeks. The aim of the campaign is to show consumers the consequences of illegal streaming and to encourage legal alternatives.
