" The agorateka roadshow meets interested stakeholders in Tallinn, Estonia"



Last June 5, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Estonia kindly hosted the agorateka roadshow. The agorateka delegation presented the European online content portal project to an audience of national experts from both the public and private sectors.

After Croatia, Cyprus, Hungary and Slovenia, this is the 5th country visited by the agorateka roadshow. The aim of the roadshow is to meet stakeholders face-to-face in countries that have not yet joined agorateka, in order to guide them in setting up their own national portals where their citizens can easily find legal content.

After the welcome speech by Kärt Nemvalts Copyright expert form the Estonian Ministry of Justice, Project Manager, René Havermans, introduced the project.

Juan Luis Marín Gutiérrez took then the attendees through the website’s most useful features before the Latvian representative, Linda Zommere, explained how his country has successfully joined the project as a pilot country.

Finally, the three members of the mission responded experts' questions about the initiative.

Estonia will start now the process to decide their approach to join agorateka as soons as possible.

Some facts:

  • agorateka was launched in September 2016;
  • to date, 17 countries have joined the portal with at least one national operator;
  • a further five countries will be joining agorateka in the near future.
